M4ZE
A downloadable game for Windows
M4ZE is an experiment in 4 dimensional navigation and rendering. You start in a corner of the maze and have to get to the opposite corner, which contains a bright white tesseract. The game has no win condition and is just about exploring a 4D maze.
Main menu
You can chose the size of the maze (number of cells on each side) and whether to try the fixed seed or a randomly generated maze. Selectable seeds may be implemented in the future.
Maze Navigation
Mouse - Normal first person pitch yaw control.
WASD - Normal first person move/strafe.
Space/Ctrl - Up and down movement
QE - Rotates a plane in the 4th dimension, clamped to 0 to 90 degrees.
ZX - Moves along the 4th dimension axis (I recommend using normal movements and 4th dimension rotations instead).
P - Toggle wireframe rendering.
/ - Toggle debug menu showing you facing direction and your position in the maze.
Esc - Back to the main menu.
About the project
This is an experimental project. I have accomplished my main objective, but there are a few things I might test in the future.
